No, this was not lagging growth, this was zero growth, period. And I do have chunk grids on in REI's minimap so that's not the case, but even in the worst case there will be some sporadic growth.

AHH HAA!! The seeds I planted in the main world have finally moved to stage 2, the ones in the guest world are still all at stage 1

Do I have to have protected land to farm? I'm new here but I'm not new to MC, and I can get things to grow on other servers without issue. *shrug*

Yes, I've been online sitting there watching for long stretches while watching TV, and both the wheat and melon seedlings never get past the "planted" stage. It's been 12 hours now. I tried both the main world and the guest world. If someone wants to come see I will be more than happy to show anyone.
